Ανθρώπινα Δικαιώματα σε Κρίση - Η Γυναικεία Διάσταση

Η Επιτροπή Νομικών Ανθρωπίνων Δικαιωμάτων του Ελληνικού Τμήματος της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης Γυναικών (EUW) διοργανώνει την Παγκόσμια Ημέρα για τα Ανθρώπινα Δικαιώματα, ημερίδα με θέμα: «Ανθρώπινα Δικαιώματα σε Κρίση – Η Γυναικεία Διάσταση» Την εκδήλωση θα προλογίσει η Πρόεδρος της Ένωσης Κα Αφροδίτη Μπλέτα, Δικηγόρος-Διαμεσολαβήτρια, Πρόεδρος του Ελληνικού Τμήματος και Διεθνής Αντιπρόεδρος της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης Γυναικών.

Η εκδήλωση θα λάβει χώρα την Τετάρτη 13 Δεκεμβρίου 2017 στις 5μμ στην αίθουσα τελετών του Μεροπείου Ιδρύματος, Διονυσίου Αρεοπαγίτου 45, στην Πλάκα (Έναντι του Ηρωδείου).

Στη συζήτηση θα συμμετάσχουν Ακαδημαϊκοί και Επιστήμονες εγνωσμένου κύρους που θα προσπαθήσουν να κυκλώσουν αυτό το τόσο σημαντικό ζήτημα από όλες τις πλευρές του.

Η Κα Ευγενία Παπαδοπούλου, Δικηγόρος- Ειδική Επιστήμονας στον Συνήγορο του Πολίτη θα μιλήσει με θέμα: O Συνήγορος του Πολίτη ως φορέας για την παρακολούθηση και προώθηση της εφαρμογής, στον ιδιωτικό και δημόσιο τομέα, της αρχής των ίσων ευκαιριών και της ίσης μεταχείρισης ανεξαρτήτως φύλου.

Η Δρ Λάουρα Μαράτου-Αλιπράντη, Διδάκτωρ Κοινωνιολογίας, Επισκέπτρια Καθηγήτρια στο Τμήμα Ψυχολογίας του Εθνικού Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, Εμπειρογνώμων σε θέματα φύλου και ισότητας, θα μιλήσει με θέμα: Διακρίσεις λόγω φύλου στα ΜΜΕ και πολιτικές καταπολέμησής τους σε Ευρωπαϊκό επίπεδο.

Ευγενία Παπαδοπούλου

Δικηγόρος- Ειδική Επιστήμονας στον Συνήγορο του Πολίτη.

Με την ένταξή της στο επιστημονικό προσωπικό του Συνηγόρου του Πολίτη, διαμεσολαβεί σε αναφορέςπολιτών που αφορούν ζητήματα δικαίου περιβάλλοντος, καθώς και της τοπικής αυτοδιοίκησης και δημόσιας διοίκησης. Λόγω της ιδιότητάς της, συμμετέχει ως εισηγήτρια σε συνέδρια και ημερίδες, με αντικείμενο τις αρμοδιότητες της Ανεξάρτητης Αρχής. Στο παρελθόν, διετέλεσε ειδική σύμβουλος του Γενικού Γραμματέα Λαϊκής Επιμόρφωσης (νυν Δια Bίου Μάθησης), των Δημάρχων Σπάτων, Φιλοθέης και στη συνέχεια, του πρώην Υπουργού Εσωτερικών και νυν Προέδρου της Δημοκρατίας K.Π. Παυλόπουλου. Με την ιδιότητά της αυτή συμμετείχε στις περισσότερες νομοπαρασκευαστικές επιτροπές, ενώ υπήρξε συνεργασία με τη Γενική Γραμματεία Ισότητας Φύλων, σε ειδικότερα ζητήματα. Είναι μέλος της Ένωσης Ελλήνων Δημοσιολόγων, του Ινστιτούτου Δημοκρατίας «Κ. Νάνσυ Παπαλεξανδρή

Ομότιμη Καθηγήτρια Διοίκησης Ανθρώπινου Δυναμικού στο Οικονομικό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών

Η Νάνσυ Παπαλεξανδρή είναι Ομ. Καθηγήτρια Διοίκησης Ανθρώπινου Δυναμικού του Οικονομικού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Διετέλεσε Αντιπρύτανις Ακαδημαϊκών Υποθέσεων και Προσωπικού (2001-2007) και εκπρόσωπος της Ελληνικής Συνόδου Πρυτάνεων στην Ένωση Ευρωπαϊκών Πανεπιστημίων. Έχει ιδρύσει και έχει διευθύνει το Πρόγραμμα Μεταπτυχιακών Σπουδών στη Διοίκηση Ανθρώπινου Δυναμικού (2002-2011) στο οποίο συνεχίζει να δραστηριοποιείται ως Σύμβουλος. Σπούδασε Διοίκηση Επιχειρήσεων και έλαβε Μasters από το Πανεπιστήμιο της Νέας Υόρκης (ΗΠΑ) και Διδακτορικό (PhD) από το Πανεπιστήμιο του Bath (Αγγλία). Έχει διδάξει σε Προπτυχιακά και Μεταπτυχιακά Προγράμματα του ΟΠΑ, του Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου και του Ελληνικού Διεθνούς Πανεπιστημίου, καθώς και ως επισκέπτρια σε Πανεπιστήμια του εξωτερικού. Είναι συγγραφέας βιβλίων και άρθρων σε διεθνή περιοδικά, συμμετέχει σε διεθνείς μελέτες για τη συγκριτική Διοίκηση Ανθρώπινου Δυναμικού, την Οργανωσιακή Κουλτούρα και την Ηγεσία και έχει οργανώσει μία σειρά από διεθνή συνέδρια. OLGA PAVLIDOU KOUTROUBIS

 

Olga was born in Athens Greece. Being a young girl, she was influenced by her school’s motto “Νon ministrari sed ministrare”, and ever since had decided to serve her country and the people. She was inspired by her family, who had a strong interest in politics, later by her husband, a Lieutenant General in Greek Air force, died on duty and by the ancient political heritage of her home city.

POLITICS

Olga’s involvement in politics actually began in 2006 when she was elected first municipal counselor for the first time at the Municipality of Philothei (a town in Athens Metropolitan Area). On 2008, she has been appointed as Deputy Mayor by the Mayor of Philothei. She was also appointed as temporary Mayor, during the vacancy or temporary incapacity of the Mayor (2008-2010). Her duties specified by act: Cleanliness, Technical, HR, Administrative and Environmental Issues. During her period of duty she issued Cleanliness Regulation and she also designed and practiced the waste management strategy of the Municipality. In addition, she designed the organizational chart of the Municipality that is applied till now.

As President of the Municipality’s Committee of Health, she has conceived and delivered the health program of the Municipality and founded the Municipal Clinic. In 2010-2011 she elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the “Hellenic Healthy Cities Network” (a scientific society with 147 participating cities).

As President of the Habitat Agenda Committee she created and delivered the strategic plan of Municipality for a 15 years period.

As President of the Municipality’s Committee for the 2004 Olympic Games, she managed to pass the Olympic Flame through the city of Philothei and because of this, to claim and gain financing by The Olympic Organizing Committee 2004 in favor of the Municipality.

In 2010 she re-elected as first Municipal Counselor although the candidate Mayor didn’t won the elections.

In 2012 and 2015, she was chosen by New Democracy Party as a candidate on the National Elections.

In 2013-2015 she was appointed by the President of New Democracy Party Mr. Antonis Samaras , as a Special Advisor in the Secretariat of International and European Affairs of New Democracy Party.

In 2016, she was appointed by the President of New Democracy Party, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis , as a Deputy Secretary of Women Affairs of New Democracy Party.

Among other actions as Deputy Secretary of Women Affairs ND, she:

1) conceived and submitted an integrated plan consisting of 43 proposals for gender equality, women participation in labor force and actions that will empower women to participate in decision making positions,

2) submitted 4 proposals for the pensions of widow women under 55 years old (housewives / unemployment) and their underage children.

3) raised the issue of gender inequality in a law that the Government had submitted to the Greek Parliament for voting, regarding hierarchy and salary issues between women and men having the same qualifications in Greek Air Force. She helped this inequality to be corrected and the law to be resubmitted, correctly modified and signed by 30 Parliaments Members from New Democracy Party.

EDUCATION

Olga holds a Bachelor of Science in Management & Organizational Behavior from Deree College, The American College of Greece. She became honorary assistant to the Dean of Management. She graduated with honors from Deree. She continued her studies in London School of Economics, in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management.

She also attended several seminars such as crisis management, communication on crisis situations and the role of Municipal authorities in epidemiological crisis.

WORK EXPERIENCE

She had worked as a Public Relations and Communication Consultant, for many years, in the private sector. She was a member of the Hellenic Public Relations Association.

As a professional, she consulted firms to be more successful, by increasing awareness and demand of their products and services and, by improving marketing and communication services including content marketing, brand communications and public relations. She organized many key conferences and business forums.

Because of her outstanding communication talents, with proven ability to build and lead highly efficient teams, to train technical personnel and to convey complex concepts in understandable terms, she was invited by Universities several times to give speeches concerning communication and leadership.
VOLUNTEERISM

Since her youth, Olga participated, as volunteer in many Charity Associations. At the age of 16 years old, Olga enrolled as a volunteer for first time, in the Spastic Children’s Greek Association.

Her voluntary participation continued and after her studies.

In 1989, she was elected as a member of the Alumni Association of the American College of Greece. In 2001, she was re elected as Secretary General and later, as a Vice President of the Alumni Association of the American College of Greece.

In 2001, she also joined organizing committee / Hellenic Section of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. She was the only Greek woman trained in volunteering in Minneapolis. In 2002, she was honored for her volunteerism during the Race for the Cure, by the Mayor of the City of Athens, in Syntagma Square.

Also in 2003, she was honored by the American College of Greece for her volunteerism.

Today, Olga continues her volunteerism by participating as a member of the Board of Directors, in many Charity Associations
Recently, she became a member of EUW/ Hellenic Section, Responsible for the Hellenic Committee “Women in Decision Making Positions”. She strongly believes that women are also taught to be strategic thinkers who can “read” environments, navigate their challenges, and bring people together to achieve a goal.

In March 2017, she was interviewed by journalists of a well known Greek economic newspaper “AXIA”. Her interview became front page.
